October-Themed Math and Literacy Centers in K-105!

In K-105, we had fun in October-themed Math and Literacy Centers!

Estefany and Kratos are playing “Candy Corn Counting”.  First, they lined up the pumpkins in order from #1-10.  Then, they took pieces of candy corn and matched the correct number of pieces to each numeral.  This game is great for practicing one-to-one correspondence and number identification.

Jeancarlos and Brandon had fun playing the same game!

In the next few pictures, you can see partners working together to play “Jack-o-Latern match”, another fun math game.  This game is great for developing the ability to match a numeral to a set of objects.  The pieces fit together like a puzzle, which makes it easy for the students to self-assess their own work.

Yalitza and Ayah are playing “Pumpkin sounds”.  They turn over a card and identify the letter.  Then, they make the sound that the letter makes.

Alex is doing an awesome job at practicing correct letter formation on the i-Pad.

Damien enjoys using Wet-Dry-Try, an app that helps with proper letter formation.

Elijah is also doing a great job with letter formation.

We hope you enjoyed our pictures!  Please feel free to request any of these games if you would like to play them at home ;)
